Strength
⬧⬧⬧⬧⬨
Boasts a strength that one may not expect given her small stature, and relies on this to surprise and subdue most threats. Though not keen on larger weapons for preferential reasons, she easily could wield them if needed.
Dexterity
⬧⬧⬧⬨⬨
Fast in movement and reflexes, but has a poor execution of precision-based skills. She is a largely force-driven fighter that chooses to overwhelm rather than outmaneuver, and uses weapons that accommodate her reckless fighting style.
Constitution
★★★★★
Her endurance is nearly unrivaled—tenacious in body and mind. Known for being 'too stubborn to die', she can withstand severe injury and remain standing. If not for her own strength demanding much of her very life force, she would be near impossible to bring down.
Intelligence
⬧⬧⬧⬧⬨
Despite a poor education as a child and her formative years spent in a state of basic survival, she has a near insatiable curiosity about the world and boundless energy to learn. She grasps complicated concepts easily, and specializes in topics such as botany and aetherology.
Wisdom
⬧⬧⬧⬨⬨
Temperamental and easily biased, together with an impulsive nature when frustrated can hinder her decision-making for the worst, and her attitude towards repurcussions in any situation is 'I'll figure it out'. Her capacity to act on things may be in poor wisdom, however her intent is usually well-grounded.
Charisma
⬧⬧⬧⬨⬨
On first meeting, she is likely to be charming and considerate, if perhaps quiet—a follower more than a leader. Most people will find her pleasant and reliable company. But she can be quick to hold a grudge over even small things, and will make no secret of doing so. Her presence in any formal setting is generally awkward at best, and abrasive at worst.
Attack
⬧⬧⬧⬧⬧
With as much strength and endurance as she has, she is a wildly aggressive sort in combat. What she lacks in discipline and form is covered easily by intuition and improvisation, with a tempered ferocity behind it.
Defense
⬧⬧⬨⬨⬨
A major flaw in her combat capabilities, she has no proper skill in defensive maneuvers. With her staggering amount of stamina, she will sooner tank a hit than move to dodge or block it, and use the opportunity to strike back—her arms are covered in scars from these maneuvers.
Perception
⬧⬧⬧⬧⬧
With keen sight and hearing, and an ever-present awareness to her surroundings, it's hard to catch her off guard. A life of learning basic survival needs, and an Echo that grants her a limited sense of the fluctuations of aether around her, even the most acute of details rarely escapes her notice. The subtle shifts of people's intentions, however, can sometimes be lost upon her.
Strategy
⬧⬧⬨⬨⬨
Not one to plan her actions out beyond bare basics, she relies on adapting to a changing situation rather than predicting outcomes and preparing for them. One of the major reasons why she is regarded as 'a follower more than a leader', but she can at least be trusted to get herself out of trouble mostly in one piece.
Will
⬧⬧⬧⬧⬨
Bitter determination is a fire that will burn within her even when all else fails, and it can carry her far. She is rarely swayed when she's set upon a certain outcome—with a tendency to have little regard for her own safety, this is not always a good thing.
As the Warrior of Light...
"For upon thy life's reel wind too many threads. Of fate. Power. Weal, enmeshed with woe. Amidst this tangled knot, thou shalt know no rest. 'Tis an endless confluence of forces; a struggle without surcease..."
Aside from a natural curiosity, more-than-sufficient skill with a polearm, and a fool's luck at keeping herself alive, Ahzuvi believed she had little of note to offer the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Still, it was insisted by several among their ranks that her ability to perceive aether bordered the uncanny, and her penchant for helping others on a whim would make her a perfect match for their order.A beloved friend and ally, Ahzuvi has settled into the role of Warrior of Light naturally—years of growing up dreaming of storybook heroes and daring adventures had certainly given her the spirit for it. She's not without her flaws, some of which have led to her being met with mixed emotions from commonfolk—her abrasive behavior when she perceives even the slightest disrespect, her tendency to react entirely on emotions, and a known habit of lashing out when confronted over mistakes.Still, she is devoted to being a defender of the star, and has been everything the Scions ever could have hoped for. Hope and understanding are her creeds; resolve and knowledge her blade and armor. As Hydaelyn's chosen, she remains vigilant to any threats that could disrupt the harmony Etheirys has finally found. She is a force of reckoning now, known as an 'aetheric chimera' among several circles of scholars...and a monster among those who have seen her in combat. Born as a living embodiment of the pre-sundered Phoenix, and inheritor of Midgardsormr's gift of a dragon's life, her soul is a patchwork that has also forcibly absorbed the lingering essence of Nidhogg. Her skills with a bladed lance are now accompanied by potent spellcasting through red magic, laced with innate draconic magic—such as the ability to cast Akh Morn instead of a Red Mage's Scorch.
While the Scions are no longer a public organization, Ahzuvi has remained busy in finding her own place in the world. A student in Aetherology at the Studium, and taking a role in the new branch of Gleaners; Emissary of the Dragons, being held in regard as if a Great Wyrm herself; Guardian of the remnants of Ultima Thule, and overseeing the growth of Elysion. And as the Keeper of Phoenix...She and the Scions are determined to create a solution to the fiery affliction that could still burn her life away. Complicated studies and magicks have resulted in a possible answer—a synthetic auracite serving to hold a brand new will within it, to give Phoenix its own life alongside hers. Her journey to Tural is largely in part of the perceived threat of the First Promise, should he emerge victorius. But the call to adventure is hard to ignore for one as restless as she...---
"The desire to protect and the desire to avenge are opposing forces that can ill be reconciled."
Ahzuvi's aether has been in a constant state of instability for nearly as long as her time as Eorzea's Champion. An endless struggle in two opposing directions—that of the firebird primal Phoenix, and the corruptive spirit of Nidhogg. She is capable of calling upon incredible power—hastened natural healing, immense reserves of aether, and her signature affinity towards fire. Should she become desperate, however, this strength is amplified tenfold and escapes her control. Phoenix's all-consuming strength lending to her under dire need to protect, or Nidhogg's vengeful rage when pushed to an emotional breaking point.
Eleos and Soteria, the last Azem...
Eleos (compassion and mercy) is the true Azem of the pair, but to believe Soteria (deliverance and salvation) was merely a familiar serving her needs could not be further from reality.A master in the field of aetherology, Soteria is a living display of Eleos’ most intricate knowledge. An aetheric entity designed with intellect and innate compassion, a natural ability to condense its own aether and any provided to it, and through its unique circumstances of creation did it have a way to preserve its memories even if destroyed. Eventually, the familiar grew wise and developed a strong will and sense of self- a part of Eleos, but also possessing an identity of its own.Eleos was ever fond of avian creatures, weaving creations to illustrate her travels and ideas. So many birds can be found in the archives of her making...but Phoenix, and Soteria especially, has always been associated with her.

Ahzuvi, Phoenix, and Nidhogg - The Soul Pendulum
With her aetherial decay stabilized thanks to Midgardsormr's timely intervention, Ahzuvi would survive...only to be subjected to a new threat that would remain with her even to this day—a state of aetheric instability the Scions would come to call 'Soul Pendulum'.At first it was theorized to be a corruption, a split-tempering afflicted by Phoenix and Nidhogg both. But after gaining further knowledge of transfigurations (such as Shiva, Tsukuyomi, and the Ivalician auracite summons), this theory was revised.Pools of potent aether still attuned to their original entities, preserved in such a concentrated state in her dense soul—through certain powerful emotional triggers, Ahzuvi could call that aether forth into a purer manifestation.

As an average Adventurer...
"Purpose can sustain you through times of hardship."
A busy mind may have helped her forget whatever trauma she was running away from, but it would not serve as a remedy forever. There inevitably came a need to step out of the Twelveswood, a need to experience something new as the Shroud's reaches finally began to feel too small for her restless soul. Try as she might, that thirst for adventure would always come back.Of her time in Mor Dhona, it was the tales from Vylbrand that stuck with her, a prosperous and seemingly carefree region (at least, free of both Monetarist and Elemental rule). She departed Gridania with a simple goal—relocate to the coastline, and establish new job prospects.A chance job let her to aiding a small free company in the locale, and was invited into their ranks on the spot—a ragtag family of outcasts and misfits. While not the owner of the FC known as Relic, it's not uncommon for her to be mistaken as such. She manages a lot of the more public demands for the company, such as keeping reputation with the citystates and occasionally recruiting new members. One must be warned: she's a magnet for trouble, and has found herself at the center of it more often than she can count...and has caused it more than enough times to warrant caution around her temperament. Uncommonly tenacious as she is, stubbornness has its limits.
Born in the lush highlands of Southern Coerthas,
Ahzuvi lived a lonely life in an apathetic home.
Her parents saw her birth not as a moment of joy, but of progress. So deep in their idyllic dreams after their future was ripped away from them, their daughter was only ever a trinket of their success—even that was marred by her mother's fervant wishes for a son instead, and a father who hardly spared her a thought at all. When her family fled to that small hamlet—several days' journey away from any major settlement—they were welcomed thanks to her mother's talent in botany. A skilled hand at running an apothecary would be a much-needed trade in such a remote location. Her father established the farm Ahzuvi would be born and raised on, and a healthy growth of crops would feed not just the family, but be traded to the various villages in the area. But despite their contributions, they were reluctant to know their neighbors, and quick to isolate themselves. It was not the home they had wanted, just the home that would be most beneficial. A tinge of resentment always remained with them, lamenting the loss of their home and what should have been.Ahzuvi would not fit in—not with her family, nor the village. But she was just a child, and there were those who would pity her enough to extend a hand. From her distant yet sympathetic neighbors, she was gifted an opportunity that would allow her to grow and hope on her own—books.Stories were her home, and imaginary friends were her family. The expanse of her parents' farm provided the setting for her pretend adventures, and she would wander from dawn til dusk...gleefully forgetting the oppressive watch of her parents, and the dreary emptiness of her room. With the Calamity came the freeze, and they were forced to flee south where old 'friends' would take them in.The Resistance was eager to have two of its renowned champions back, and Ahzuvi's parents left her in the care of a battle-hardened and bittered relative who saw her as a disappointment and disgrace to the family's legacy. Again she found no place for her, shunned by those who expected more of her, tormented by fellow youth who saw her as a small and easy target for their frustrations. Here she learned how to defy demands of those not worthy of respect, and here she learned punishment for failure. She would no longer see imaginary adventures in the few dreams she could enjoy. Instead, she saw the passing caravans on the road not a malm from where she slept...so close to her, but so far out of reach. When word came bearing news that she was now an orphan, she was forced to accept that the life she lived was never hers. She chose to live a life of her make, a runaway chasing the dreams of her childhood fables. This road would bring her to Mor Dhona, where the new town of Revenant's Toll was being built by the hand of such like-minded adventurous souls. Here she would learn the freedom and joy she had so desired. Skills and knowledge shared with her by those passing through, opportunity offered by those who remained. How to wield a weapon; how to play a stringed instrument; how to hunt; how to cook; how to survive; how to thrive. She doesn't speak of how she came to live in the Shroud just three years later. Just an uncomfortable pause, and a shift of topic...
An assortment of detailed thoughts, feelings, and important personality traits.
-------
Re: Needs
-------
To belong, to have a home (and thought she will never admit it—family). Needs to feel useful/successful to someone, to be given praise/positive reinforcement.
-------
Re: Fears
-------
Instability. Failure/Being at fault for dire mistakes (especially as the Warrior of Light). Abandonment/Separation/Rejection. Uselessness. Terrified of open seas.
-------
Re: Age/Maturity
-------
Young in years, but forced to grow up early—lost out on her childhood, but is still playful and spirited in the right setting (and good with kids). Spiteful and reacts aggressively if treated like a child, and attempts at parenting her are ill-advised; Feels that being thought of as young is an insult given her upbringing, this extends to even the mundane fact of pointing out her age.
-------
Re: Authority
-------
Extreme aversion to assumed authority—has a strong notion of what is considered unearned, and is very particular about when to give her respect to someone. Quick to rebel if pushed too hard by someone she has little respect for. Obeys a select few, and will not question their directives—she desires purpose, those she respects will earn unyielding loyalty.
-------
Re: Patience
-------
Has an unhealthy resilience to putting up with poor treatment, neglecting her own feelings if it means preserving whatever 'stability' exists in her life. An emotional ragdoll—you can beat her up physically and mentally, but if she cares for you, she will not leave.
-------
Re: Politic/Diplomacy
-------
Her presence at a diplomatic table is not advised. Quick-witted, and speaks her mind freely when in disagreement. Will not humor 'political tricks'. Extremely perceptive, will call out misleading wordplay as she catches it—her natural distrust of politics and authority means she assumes much of what is said is dishonest.
-------
Re: Relationships
-------
Deeply romantic. Love languages include acts of service and quality time. Highly physically affectionate, but prefers it to be in private settings. Extremely devoted, enough to cloud judgment in important settings. A jealous type, and poor at concealing it.
-------
Re: Romantic Advances
-------
Incredibly unaware of when people display interest in her, embarrassingly so; she grew up adoring love stories, but doesn't prioritize such things and naturally doesn't assume anything of others. Even if aware, she will blatantly ignore advances if she's not interested.
-------
Re: Guild Work
-------
Prideful in a job well done, and will usually follow instructions given to the letter. Has trouble saying no, and will compulsively accept just about any request. Proud of having a good reputation with the guilds, and keeps a long list of contacts across Eorzea she can reach out to.
-------
Re: Solitude
-------
Content with solitary work/travel, but a desire to be solitary is a sure sign of stress—anxiety drives her to seek solitude, where she is prone to more destructive behavior.
-------
Re: Speech
-------
Has a notable Ala Mhigan accent from childhood—a rough tone and lots of shortened/over-casual/informal words. Extremely good at hiding it; sometimes overcompensates and uses incorrect grammar.
-------
Re: Stress/Trauma
-------
Known to distract herself with work or study when her personal environment gets too overwhelming, and tries to ignore difficult internal conflicts. Represses and compartmentalizes traumatic moments easily. Cynical humor as coping.
-------
Themes as a Character
-------
Exploration of family trauma due to neglect. Reclaiming a lost childhood/Reconnecting with a neglected younger 'you'. Expectations and wasted potential. Expectations and bearing heavy burdens/having no agency. Finding belonging and passion while feeling lacking in personal identity. Fear of instability+need-to-please tendencies to preserve stability. Exploring personal limitations of when to forgive, and when to allow grief. Accepting your capacity to make mistakes.
A familiar face across nearly every reach of Eorzea due to her compulsive need to keep busy with whatever job comes her way, Ahzuvi is the striking image of any bardsong's cliché adventurer. Reliable, diligent, and generally good company—few would turn her away when she comes looking for work.A mercenary-for-hire to clear out dens full of morbols; a reliable guard that can escort a merchant from town to town; a gatherer with a wide knowledge of botanical and hunting skills. And with hobbies that keep her occupied even in the quiet hours, she rarely rests—she can hardly bear the sensation of pause.
Specializations
-------
Fetch Quest Specialist
-------
One of the most reliable hires for average, every day needs, Ahzuvi's reputation among the Adventurer's Guild is one of someone who simply likes to keep herself occupied and help people as best she can. While she's skilled in more difficult tasks, she rarely ever complains about running a simple delivery or five.
-------
Chocobo Care, Racing, and Adoption
-------
A frequent handler at Bentbranch Meadows, Ahzuvi knows the ins-and-outs of chocobo care. An owner of one, an occasional jockey at the races, and an ambassador in introducing birds to new owners—if you need any connection to chocobos, she is more than eager to help.
-------
Botany: Gathering and Education
-------
While no longer an official member of the Gridanian Botanist's Guild, Ahzuvi is still more than familiar with their needs and often takes up commissions to help them. So reliable with her deliveries and quality, she is a well-known supplier among many apothecaries and alchemists. Should you need a delivery of herbs, fruits, or some other by-order material, Ahzuvi is always open to new requests...and can also be asked to accompany other gatherers on their ventures.
-------
Fishing
-------
A fisher by hobby more than by trade, Ahzuvi will occasionally make herself scarce to spend a day by a waterfront and enjoy the quiet, though she always welcomes company. Though she sometimes voices interest, it should be noted that she has a strong aversion to the open sea, and boats in general...
-------
Aetherology
-------
It may come as a surprise that this rowdy adventurer has an extensive interest and knowledge of aetherology, especially when one learns how inept she is with most forms of spellcasting. Barely able to summon a carbuncle, the only magic she's 'mastered' is that of red magic, thanks to the aid of an aetheric focus. The range of her knowledge however is comparable to a small library—even should you present her a question she has no answer for, she likely knows where to look.
I draw dragons, do housing builds for fun, savage-level raiding, and analyze the game's lore to an unhealthy degree. I also draw dragons.
